Carrier Negotiations

We utilize a broad range of skill sets developed over year of practice to understand and counter argue a vendors renewal position. Our collective backgrounds in underwriting methodology give us an equal footing with a carrier when it comes to rate setting practice. We challenge underwriting assumptions not favorable to the client with expert knowledge of what is appropriate for a given market. Let’s face it, no one likes to switch health plan vendors and we strive to achieve stability for everyone’s benefit. But when necessary, we are ready to do whatever is in the best interest of our employer clients and their employees.

HRIS Integration

HPCS works closely with a number of human resource management database vendors which facilitate efficient and accurate transmission of enrollment and other vital data between an employer’s dedicated HRIS, its payroll service vendor or an independent third party and the plan vendors. Imagine, single point data entry for all matters related to managing your employee benefit elections and other related HR matters.

Wellness Initiatives

Sick employees cost everyone money. Of course the impact on health plans is evident. But what about absenteeism, or worse, presenteeism (when an employee is present and getting paid, but not fully productive). Be it annual health fairs, voluntary biometric screenings, health risk assessments, web based health learning tools or comprehensive, incentive based wellness programs we have the resources and the knowledge of what works best. We work with each employer to determine what programs best fit their needs and limitations. We proactively push employers to increase their efforts incrementally and to develop a culture promoting good health habits in and around the workplace.

Communications

We work with each of our client to properly communicate not only a plan’s benefits, but also how to best utilize them and what the value of these employer offerings are. We assist in the preparation of all benefit communications tools including enrollment letters, pamphlets and booklets, web based plan summaries, intranet portals and vendor websites. We also assist with distributions of mandated communication material that is compliant and fulfilled.
