Other Ongoing Consulting Services- Periodic

Following is a list of some of the services we propose to provide on a as needed basis to assist our clients in the ongoing day-to-day administration of its insured and self-insured welfare benefit plans.  It is our experience that these services are typically provided periodically during the course of a plan year, or annually.

1. Day-to-day consultation relative to administrative procedures, claims processing, plan document interpretation, claims control, effective employee communications, and other liaison responsibilities with each insurance carrier and/or administrator.

2. Ongoing evaluations of claim experience to provide advance warning of unfavorable trends and anticipated rate action.

3. Evaluation of requests by in force carriers or administrators for rate increases.  Negotiations with carriers/administrators with regard to rate and/or benefit adjustments.

4. General advice concerning changes in plan design, managed care opportunities, and other general cost management strategies.

5. Ongoing review with management of changes in regulatory environment and their potential impact on your benefit plans.

6. Periodic review and discussion of alternative techniques for funding and management of employee benefits.

7. Consultation with management regarding employee contribution levels.

8. Interpretation and commentary concerning medical management reports.

9. Evaluation of cost effectiveness of existing managed care programs including PPO, HMO, and utilization review programs.

10. Assistance with ongoing management of plans, providing advice regarding current trends and techniques within the marketplace.
