Health Plus Consulting Services, Inc. is a Louisiana based employee benefit brokerage and consulting firm. Health Plus opened its first office in Baton Rouge in 1993, and added an office in New Orleans in 1998. We specialize in design and implementation of employee benefit programs for employers of all types and sizes. Health Plus specializes in client service, particularly with regard to day-to-day management of all types of benefit plans and partially managed care plans. Very often these plans are sold as the latest in cost containment mechanisms to control ever escalating health care costs. While the cost control mission often is successful, the resulting claims and provider problems are often more than plan managers and participants anticipated. Health Plus has been a pro-active force in analyzing the nature and origin of these problems and has developed procedures to limit the difficulties plan members experience and to expedite resolution of such problems. This is accomplished by meeting with managed care vendors and providers to pinpoint problem areas and determine appropriate methods of intervention in plan design, provider practices and utilization management procedures. |
